Trick or Treat Time!

Today I finished up this card featuring an Aurora Wings sprite. I went a little crazy with the embellishments but couldn't seem to stop. I love flowers so much! Hope you enjoy!

I made an easel card on a 6 x 6 inch card base. The Aurora Wings Pumpkin Sprite is a digital image and is colored with Copic markers. I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, my favorite supplier for flowers. The spider web die is from Whimsy Stamps and the bat fence is a Martha Stewart punch.

Take Care...Get Well!

I colored up this little sweetie a few weeks ago and finally got her on a card today. Here are all the goodies I used to put this card together. Hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Christmas in October?

After cleaning up my hobby room today, I felt like experimenting with a new stencil I got a couple weeks ago at the card makers showcase. Here's the result.

The stencil, from Penny Black, is the main image. I used the following Copic markers with my airbrush system. G21, G24 and G29. I sprayed the colors from light to dark. I then used R37 to finish the berries. I embellished the berries with pearls and Glossy Accents. The edges of the main image are distressed with Tim Holtz, "Old Paper". I also used Sheena Douglass' "Ageing Beautifully" stamp set to distress the image. I love the look of cracks and waterdrops to add interest.
The card is on a 6 x 6 inch base. Remaining supplies used: Bazzil cardstock, Making Memories "Mistletoe" printed paper, sentiment and label from Whimsy Stamps.

This is the inside sentiment. I bought this wood mounted stamp about 15 years ago. I haven't used this stamp for ages...good time to get it out again. The snow flakes are from a Stampin' Up set I've had for several years. Hope you enjoy! Have a blessed day!

Birth Announcements for My Granddaughter...Yippee!!

Addison Nicole has finally arrived and she's absolutely gorgeous (of course, I'm not biased....at all)! I started working on the birth announcements soon after the baby shower and couldn't wait to give them to the happy parents.

I used "All our Dreams" from Lili of the Valley. Here's the link: http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/acatalog/Stamp_-_All_Our_Dreams.html
I colored the image with Copics. Tree leaves: G99, G24, G21 and Y32. Blanket: R89, R85, R83 and R81. Sleeper: RV02 and RV00. Polka dots: Y02 and Y11. Baby's skin: E02, E01, E000 and R20.
I used Bazzil cardstock and embossed the background paper with a Sizzix embossing folder.
This is a standard A2 size card.

I designed the inside of the card on my Silhouette Cameo. The colors look a bit red, but it's actually a coral pink. Hope you enjoy!

First Post...Whoo hoo!!

So, after all the searching, reading and You Tube tutorials I think I finally have this "blog" thing figured out. I used to think I was pretty computer savvy...not anymore!
Since this is my first post I'm going to use an older card. Hopefully I'll remember the Copic colors and supplies I used.  Here we go!

Here is my Harry Potter inspired card.
This is Wizard, a Tiddly Inks digital image. He can be found here: http://www.tiddlyinks.com/wizard-2-versions/
I used Copic markers to color him up. Hair: E49, E59, E35, E33 and E21, Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00 and E000. Pants and coat: W9, W7, W5 and W3. Scarf: R59, R46, R24, Y38, Y35 and Y32. I colored the glow from his wand with Y35 and used Glossy Accents inside his glasses. I also used a Copic Multi Liner to draw the lightening bolt on his forehead.
The sentiment "Protego Horribilis" is a spell which means "protect us from the dark arts".
The card is on a 6 x 6 inch card base and the paper is from my stash. I added some black pearls for embellishment. I wanted to keep it simple in case I decide to give this to a man. I inked the edges of the image with Tim Holtz distress ink, Old Paper.
Hope you enjoy!!
